Blue state, purple senators

In general, Democratic senators in safe blue seats have been less likely than those representing swing states to vote in favor of President Donald Trump's Cabinet picks and legislative priorities.

But Colorado Sens. Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper have defied that trend, voting like swing-state senators while representing a state that leans solidly Democratic.
