Rolling averages of Chicago doses administered

Chicago had been on a steady climb of dose administration until this week. The city saw its federal vaccine supply drop by 35,000 from the week of April 5 to the week of April 12. Those doses were all Johnson & Johnson, a likely result of the manufacturing mixup announced at the end of March. Now with J&J use on indefinite pause, the city must rely on its supply of Moderna and Pfizer for its vaccination campaign.

Federal dose allocations are reported weekly, but divided by day in this chart for presentation purposes. The direct federal allocation dose not capture all the doses that are eventually administered in Chicago, including at the United Center or at other locations with a direct federal partnership.
