Air pollutant levels improved, but some are on the way back up
The change in annual emissions levels in the US from 1990 to 2015.
The chart shows that Nitrogen oxide, Carbon monoxide, and Sulfur oxide pollution decreased between 1990 and 2015. But PM levels began to increase around 2012.
