How much money Santa Clara County spent on contracts, by race and gender
Santa Clara County spent more than $2.4 billion on procured contracts from July 2016 to June 2022. Only about $364 million, or 15%, of that went to minority-owned businesses.
"Unclassified" businesses gained $2,048,992,065 from county contracts over the five year span. In the same period, Asian-owned businesses gained $171,654,446, non-minority women-owned businesses gained $167,748,837, Black-owned businesses gained $6,667,744 and Native-owned businesses gained $3,106,966.
