How Leonard Leo's groups drive millions in business to his firms 

Not long ago, Leonard Leo was a relatively unknown Federalist Society official, but over the last eight years, with the creation of multiple for-profit firms, he has turned his growing dark money network into a way to pour tens of millions of dollars into businesses he runs.

501(c) organizations are only required to report their top five vendors to whom they paid more than $100,000. As such, there are likely additional payments that cannot be tracked. While CREW has identified some payments in 2023, the 2022 tax year is the last year for which complete data is available.
