Students, parents, teachers and school leaders differ on purpose of grading and grade reporting

When asked how much they agree with various potential purposes for grading, members of the Las Cruces, New Mexico, public school community generally agreed that grades were meant to inform students about their own performance. But teachers and administrators had different priorities after that.
