AEDs in Indiana Schools

Fifty-four percent of Indiana’s public, charter and private schools participated in a voluntary survey to collect data on which schools have automated external defibrillators and emergency response plan policies. Data was collected from Aug. 11 to Sept. 29, 2023.

The number of AEDs needed in a school varies depending on the number of students and the size of the school. Enrollment data can be a contributing factor when deciding how many devices are needed in a facility.
