All-in spot rates, Jan. 2024-March 2026

Rates were up sharply for the week for reefer and flatbed segments. Dry van rates ticked down a cent/mile as a national average, Truckstop.com and FTR reported, yet posted average gains outbound from most regions of the country. The gains for flats and reefers were on average more than enough to "recover higher fuel costs," even, the load board and partner analysts note in their report dated March 23. Load post volumes were up a couple percentage points over the prior week, and more than 40% over the same 2025 week.
