Trash complaints spiked in Harlem, Bushwick and Staten Island

During the first six months of 2022, refuse-related grievances rose in ZIP codes across the city compared with the year before.

A map of New York City shows trash complaints are up across the board. Harlem, Bushwick and parts of Staten Island saw a particularly large increase.

Note: Certain ZIP codes registered no complaints, and 311 calls remained unchanged in ZIP codes 10069, 10469 and 11694.
