Where public subsidies to Black candidates went in 2026

Thirteen Black candidates received nearly $1.74 million in Minnesota's record 2026 post-primary public subsidy distribution. Republican gubernatorial nominee Lisa Demuth received nearly three-quarters of that amount.

The Campaign Finance Board does not identify candidates by race. Black candidates were identified by Mshale through reporting and public records.
