Men represented 58% of American GMAT test-takers in 2019. That wasn’t a blanket stat across the states. Nevada and Vermont, for example, boasted gender parity. At the same time, New Mexico, Alabama, and Maine attracted 47% or more women to complete the GMAT. What’s more, high population states like California and Ohio stood at 45% or better in 2019. The bad news? Women represented fewer than 40% of GMAT test-takers in 19 states, including Illinois, Texas, and Michigan (and 40% in Florida and Pennsylvania).
