Older adults face racial disparities in economic insecurity

Across the U.S., more than half of all single seniors face economic insecurity, including high percentages of Latino and Black seniors.

Based on the University of Massachusetts' Elder Index, which tracks expenses for housing, health care, transportation, food and other basics for seniors, and state-level income data.
