Grey areas: Where employment has grown faster than the working age population

*The numbers in the grey area on the far-right side of the graph show what has happened since February 2020. For example, in the 23 months since Feb 2020, employment has grown by 259,600 people, the working age population has only grown by 111,841 people, and the number of unemployed has fallen to 580,000. All numbers are seasonally adjusted.
