Medicaid changes will affect over 40K metro-east residents

In the metro-east, a total of 40,258 people in fiscal year 2024 enrolled in Medicaid as part of the Affordable Care Act's expanded eligibility, under which adults who have no disabilities or children were offered coverage for the first time. They will face new work reporting and eligibility verification requirements under the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act."
