For every 100,000 residents, N.J. has conducted about 167 tests, 19th in the country as of Wednesday. However, N.J. also has about 50 confirmed cases per 100,000, which far outpaces the states that have tested at a similar rate.

As a country, the U.S. has tested about 131 people per 100,000, with 19 confirmed positives per 100,000.
