Growing disapproval of protests

Disapproval of protests has been trending upward across Latin America since 2010, including in six South American countries that have seen mass demonstrations in recent months. In 2018, 40% of Peruvians said in a survey that they didn't approve of "people conducting peaceful protests," up from 27% in 2006. A similar percentage of people in Paraguay, Ecuador, Colombia, Chileans and Bolivia agreed.
