Just 41 schools accounted for nearly two-thirds of Day-1 CPT filings in FY2022

Day-1 CPT is defined as students who began CPT employment authorization within four months of starting an academic program.

Note: We identify likely Day-1 CPT exploiters as schools meeting all of the following criteria: CPT participation rate in the top 25th percentile (≥ 20.6 percent), Day-1 CPT share of CPTs in the top 10th percentile (≥ 27.3 percent), Day-1 CPT share of international students in the top 10th percentile (≥ 4.4 percent), and more than 50 international students enrolled in FY2022.
