Update, October 15, 2024: This figure has been updated to exclude data for Washington state. Data for Washington state are not included because the state changed the way it reported the number of employers of state-funded home health aides to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics during this period, making comparisons between the third quarters of 2019 and 2023 impossible. The number of private sector business establishments grew during this period if industries affected by this reporting change are excluded.
