Voters in some states have more Electoral College power

In this map, states are colored red or blue based on the results of their popular vote for president in 2020. Voters who live in the 39 midrange-colored states have a roughly average amount of influence over the outcome of the Electoral College. Voters who live in the eight darker-colored states, and the District of Columbia, have disproportionately more Electoral College power. Those in the three lighter-colored states have disproportionately little influence.
