Voters who live in the 39 midrange-colored states have a roughly average amount of influence over the outcome of the Electoral College. Voters who live in the eight darker-colored states, and the District of Columbia, have disproportionately more Electoral College power. Those in the three lighter-colored states have disproportionately little influence.
