Division of Tax Revenue from Marijuana Sales in Ohio

Ohio Issue 2, which passed in November, legalized recreational marijuana in the state. The issue detailed how tax revenue from sales will be used. Recreational products will be taxed 5.75% in state sales tax and an additional 10% excise tax. The revenue from the excise tax will be divided into four categories.
