Thirty-seven beach sites were sampled in Virginia in 2018. Of those 37 sites, 19 beaches had potentially unsafe levels of contamination on at least one of the days they were tested. This chart shows the 10 most unsafe beaches. The blue bar shows the number of days that samples were taken from the site over the course of 2018, while the red bar shows the number of days out of the total that the beach was unsafe.
