The sea level is rising at Kiptopeke, VA

The chart shows the monthly average sea level, in inches, from the beginning of 1952 through the end of 2025. The highest water levels tend to occur in the fall.

The data are presented as values relative to the mean sea level at Kiptopeke between 1983 and 2001. Missing data were infilled based on the Sewell's Point tide gauge.
