Statewide, 49 percent of all represented women worked in a Unit 1, 7, or 18 job in 2022, which means the median pay for all women will be near the salary of one of these jobs. But the percentage of women in these jobs change depending on the ethnic group. In fact, the concentration of women in different bargaining units directly impacts the median base pay for each ethnic group.
