AJC poll: State income tax cut

Georgia’s individual income tax generates $15.7 billion each year, or 42% of the state’s total tax revenue. Some leaders have proposed eliminating the state income tax and replacing it with higher sales taxes, including sales taxes on services that are currently not taxed.

Do you support or oppose eliminating the state income tax under these circumstances?
