Data reflect crimes against property offenses reported to the FBI's National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) by participating law enforcement agencies in each state. Crimes against property include arson, bribery, burglary/breaking and entering, counterfeiting/forgery, destruction/damage/vandalism, embezzlement, extortion/blackmail, fraud, larceny/theft, motor vehicle theft, robbery, and stolen property offenses. Rankings are based on total offenses per 100,000 residents using population covered figures reported by participating agencies, 2024.
