Cement reset

Disruptions along the Afghan border have brought cement exports to a halt, but domestic market is carrying the extra load and exceeding expectations. In the seven months to FY26, total offtake grew 11 percent; exports only 3 percent. Even though capacity utilization has fallen significantly since FY22, it is slowly rebounding in FY26 from the mid-50s to now reaching 61%, thanks to improved demand in the domestic markets. This will put cement makers at ease as they move to a new phase of growth. Average monthly domestic demand Average monthly capacity Hover over the bars to see each value in tons.
