States with the most lead water service lines
The Great Lakes states, Florida and the Northeast have some of the highest numbers of lead service lines, according to EPA estimates from 2023.
A US map shows most Western states, with the exception of Colorado, have fairly low numbers of lead service lines. More Eastern states have high numbers, including Florida and the Great Lakes states.
