Where were Chicago's homicides in 2022?

On average, over 2 of every 10,000 Chicagoans were the victim of a homicide last year. In the city's most dangerous police district, it was nearly 11 in 10,000.

Geographic breakdown of 699 homicides recorded in 2022 CPD annual report. Total homicides figure increases with time as homicides are retroactively attributed to previous years in subsequent years. 2022 data is preliminary and will be revised in the 2023 report.
