Estimates Of Ukraine's War Dead Vary Widely

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently said in February 2026 that 55,000 of his country's soldiers have been killed. The latest estimate from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) puts the figure much higher -- between 100,000 and 140,000.
