Simple line chart shows participation in CalFresh among 3.1 million students who attended a public high school in California during the 2015-2021 time period. The line starts at sophomore year of high school, when 21% of students participated, dropping to 20% in junior year, 19% senior year, 18% in first year post high school graduation, and ending at 13% in 2nd year, post-graduation.
Sample: California high school graduates (Classes of 2015–2021). Note that the “first year post-graduation” time frame counts only participation from December to June (to avoid including “holdover cases”), whereas other measures count participation anytime in the July to June period.
