Note: Mothers are categorized as "Native American" if they self-identified in the Current Population Survey as American Indian/Aleut/Eskimo; "Asian or Pacific Islander" if Asian or Pacific Islander, Asian only, Hawaiian/Pacific Islander only, or Asian-Hawaiian/Pacific Islander; and "Multiracial" if this identified any other combination of any two or more races. Hispanic mothers can be of any race.
