Trust in Routine Vaccines in America by Political Affiliation (2025)

Most U.S. adults say they’re at least somewhat confident in the safety of routine vaccinations, but far fewer trust the safety of the Covid-19 vaccine. This chart shows Americans’ trust in vaccine safety broken down by political affiliation.

Only respondents aged 50 and older were polled, as these vaccines are recommended for them. A total of 1,380 U.S. adults aged 18 and over were surveyed from April 8 to 15, 2025.
