Number of ballot questions, by election year

How many ballot questions there have been in Colorado in each even-year general election since 2006, including referred measures and citizen initiatives. The 2026 total is based on preliminary approvals and petition submissions.

*2026 includes a legislative referred measure, citizen initiatives with verified signatures and those whose backers have submitted signatures for review. The ballot will not be certified until Sept. 4.
