2021 MBA Pay: South

Atlanta…Miami…Nashville…Charlotte...Charleston…New Orleans…Sarasota…Asheville. Who wouldn’t want to live in the American South? Sunny, friendly, and cultured…with business markets that are booming! So which MBAs take home the most there? Brace yourself: It’s NYU Stern. True, Stern only placed 7 students in Dixie, but they collected $166,171 – more than Stanford grads earned in the Northeast or the West. With the highest Stern paycheck being $187,200 in the South, you could say that their grads’ earnings were consistent too. Overall, 6 schools reported first year bases over $150K, with earnings correlating closely with ranking. A Harvard grad landed the single-highest base in the South at $275K. However, a Georgia Tech grad’s $170K base topped any single base salary made by a Wharton School grad.
