Government actions on housing issues

Q To help people buy a home the federal government has introduced a Help to Buy Scheme, a Build to Rent Scheme as well as helping to fund public housing, all of which is funded by the taxpayer . Although it has been discussed, they have not yet indicated they would alter taxes affecting housing, such as Negative Gearing or Capital Gains. Do you think the federal government’s current settings to address the housing issue?
