Medicare premium growth is outpacing benefit increases
The U.S. government automatically adjusts Social Security benefits to account for inflation. While the post-inflation value of those benefits has slowly increased since 2020, the cost of healthcare is growing faster, including the Medicare Part B premiums most retirees must pay every month.
