This week had 185 active price cuts, down from 276 in the prior week, making it a quieter week for repricing. The median asking price after cuts was about $935K, the median cut was roughly $55K, and the median percentage reduction was about 6.1%. The heaviest neighborhood concentrations were Midtown West, Murray Hill, and the UWS' Riverside/West End submarket.

This week leaned co-op-heavy, with 95 co-op cuts versus 77 condo cuts, plus 7 condop cuts and 6 townhouse cuts. Most discounts were concentrated in the lower and middle price bands, with 66 cuts between $500K and $1M. By unit type, one-bedrooms saw the most cuts with 73 reductions. The deepest dollar discounts were concentrated at the high end, led by The Sohmer Piano Building in Flatiron with a $16.75M reduction, albeit this is this is the sticker price for starting bids since the penthouse unit is up for auction.
