How lawmakers tried to address long-term care insurance costs

Between 2019 and 2024, the legislature considered more than 50 bills on a range of long-term care insurance issues, from offering a tax credit to policyholders to requiring public hearings on rate hikes requests. Some bills included more than one proposal. At least three bills passed.
