A family of four will earning minimum wage will spend 27% of their $3,973 a month on food, compared to a family of four on Ontario works who will spend 39% of their $2,760. A single parent with two children on Ontario works will spend 32% of their $2,528, and a single adult will spend 45% of their $863.
