The Top 10 Busiest U.S. Cities for Movers During the Holidays

Las Vegas is the #1 busiest U.S. city for movers during the holidays. Nine out of the top 10 cities were in warm-weather locations in the West and Sunbelt.

moveBuddha determined the rankings by finding the average share of single-family home sales in the top 10 U.S. cities and the highest average search volume in the moveBuddha Moving Cost Calculator. A total of 53 U.S. MSAs were studied, and we narrowed it down the 10 MSAs with the highest average moving share/activity in the months of January, February, November, and December between 2021-2023.
