Instead of specific figures, fees entered into the BBC's external events register are banded as being worth either "Below £250", "Below £1k", "£1k - £5k", "£5k - £10k" or simply "Over £10k". This makes it possible to calculate a range of income that staff on the register received from external events. For those who did at least one "Over £10k" event, however, it is only possibly to calculate a minimum amount earned. Those staff who received a fee of £10,000 or greater at least once are marked with asterisks, with the number of asterisks indicating the number of £10k+ fees.
