Signature Collection Caps Under Senate Bill 1027

Senate Bill 1027 caps signature collection based on the number of votes cast in the most recent governor's election. For constitutional amendments, no more than 20.8% of the county's turnout may count towards a petition. The percentage is reduced to 11.5% for initiated state statutes.

172,993 valid signatures are needed to place a constitutional amendment on the ballot. For initiated state statutes, 92,263 are required.
