California Poverty Rates Under the Supplemental Poverty Measure, 2021 to 2025

Note: "Other Californians of Color" includes American Indians and Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, and people identifying with more than one race. Combining racial/ethnic groups limits interpretation of findings. However, these racial/ethnic groups have limited sample sizes and could not be reliably reported individually. Changes in poverty rates between 2021 and 2025 for starred groups are statistically significant at the 95% confidence level.
