When and where students enroll in college can have an effect on whether they eventually earn a degree. Researchers at Drexel University tracked six-year college graduation rates for a group of Philadelphia public-school students and found that those who attend four-year universities or who start college right after high school are more likely to finish than those who go to a community college or delay enrollment.
