Percent change in tree canopy size, 2016-2025

UF had its biggest single-year loss in 2025 (5%), but still lost less of its canopy than Gainesville and Alachua County since 2016

Data from 2016 is used as start number in percent change calculations. This is different than the percent of all land in an area covered by the canopy.
