Candidates for local office are more likely to advertise a campaign on Facebook, but some candidates for statewide office did run Facebook ads in 2021, including Sen. Mary Souza, who is running to be Idaho’s next secretary of state. Souza's ad spending is based off of estimates in the Facebook Ad Library, while other candidates have reported their Facebook spending to the Idaho Secretary of State.
