In 2024, Florida ranked fourth among states in uninsured residents

2024 is the most recent year for which data on the uninsured population is available. That year, Florida tied with Nevada at 13.6% of residents without health insurance, compared with 9.8% of all Americans. While it's not known whether the 2.7 million Americans who dropped ACA coverage are now uninsured, policy analysts believe this number will increase sharply for 2026.
