Maternal Care Professionals Per 1,000 Births

Maternal care professionals include midwives, OB-GYNs, maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) professionals, and family practice professionals. Many different types of professionals can be involved in maternal care. We included doctors, physician associates, and advanced practice nurses for the family practice, MFM, and OB-GYN specialties. We did not require midwives to be a specific type of professional.
