DeKalb County's 911 hold times improved, but far from goal

DeKalb County remained the worst-performing agency surveyed by the AJC, but the 20 second answer rate improved in fall 2024 when the center was fully staffed.

Excludes abandoned calls. The industry standard that 95% of calls should be answered within 20 seconds comes from the National Emergency Number Association.
